EPIDERMA invites the viewer to immerse themselves in a dimension that explores the multiple facets of the epidermis and its artistic interpretations.
Through works by artists and designers, EPIDERMA offers an innovative look at the concept of surface, exploring how it can be manipulated, deconstructed and reinvented across a vast range of artistic and technological mediums. From collectible design to video installations, from sculpture to photography, EPIDERMA offers a heterogeneous and coherent multidisciplinary experience.
The works on display reflect the complexity and beauty of the epidermis, tracing a path that goes beyond its common definition to connect to the broader idea of surface; with which to explore deeper themes related to identity, memory and self-perception. Through an intimate exploration, EPIDERMA invites us to reflect on what separates and unites us, on our connection with the outside world and with other human beings, with matter and immateriality, the visible and the invisible, the surface and depth.
