“Satisfaction with the support of the Chamber for the road safety bill, a fundamental step towards safer and more responsible traffic on the roads of our territories. The approval of this measure represents a tangible commitment to a safer road environment for all. More checks, more road safety education and more rigor are the keys to ensuring greater safety for all our fellow citizens.”

These are the words, in a joint note, of the mayors of Cinisello Balsamo, Giacomo Ghilardi and of Sesto San Giovanni, Roberto Di Stefano.

The mayor of Cinisello Balsamo Giacomo Ghilardi explains: “Reducing deaths due to incorrect and dangerous driving, including drunkenness or under the influence of drugs, is a priority and shared objective.”

Ghilardi continues: “The strengthening of sanctions represents a fundamental step, both for the immediate effects on prevention and because it favors educational actions in the area, to which, as local administrators, we dedicate great commitment to our youth”.

The mayor specifies: “Moreover, the regulation of electric scooters represents another important step towards a safer and more sustainable city. This measure will help ensure harmonious coexistence between all users of the city’s roads, by promoting responsible and safe use of these alternative means of transport.

The mayor of Sesto San Giovanni Roberto Di Stefano adds: “Thanks to Minister Salvini for listening to the mayors and the territory of Sesto which, we remember, was the first in Italy to issue an ordinance to force minors to use the helmet on the scooter after the tragic death of Fabio Mosca, 13, who died along Viale Gramsci in August 2021″.
