Tancredi Tarantino, president of “ReCommon”, an association which – we read on its website – “fights against the abuse of power and the plunder of territories to create spaces for transformation in society, in Italy, in Europe and in the world”, died. Tarantino, 46, married and father of a little girl, lost his life on Monday in an accident on the green line in Milan.

“The staff, board members and members of ReCommon express their immense sadness over the death of association president Tancredi Tarantino, which occurred in Milan on the afternoon of April 1, and are close to his family, to whom they extend their most sincere condolences”, the farewell of the association.

“Tancredi was an activist for ReCommon from 2014 to 2016, for which he carried out very valuable and complex investigative work, notably on cases involving Latin America, a region of the world that he knew in depth and where he had lived for many years. Since 2022, he has held the position of president of the association, whose values ​​and struggles against the damage inflicted on communities and the environment by the extractivist model he shared with great enthusiasm. , they concluded, assuring that the group “will continue to pursue” these struggles “also in the memory of its president”.
