Palazzo Marino is ready to “disappear” for the next few months. In fact, the installation of scaffolding on the facade of the municipal headquarters has begun to allow conservation and recovery work. The scaffolding installation phase will last approximately 20 days. The Palazzo Marino will undergo a restyling at no cost to the municipal administration. The Tod’s group will cover the costs. The technical sponsor of the project is the Jesurum-Leoni Comunicazione agency of US-The Future is Now.

Concretely, the work will be carried out by Estia, a company specializing in the restoration of monuments and historic buildings, based on the project by Dontstop Architettura and Andre Borri Architetti. The first phase of restoration will take place on the facade of the building, the one overlooking Piazza della Scala. We will then continue to the other sides and to the 16th century walls of the Court of Honor located inside the Palazzo Marino.

The work is expected to last a maximum of 16 months. For this entire period, the municipal administration has decided to launch the “open site” initiative through which citizens will be able to discover the civic center of Milan.
