Sunday April 14 at 8:30 p.m. pianist-composer Francesco Cavestri (awarded as the youngest among the best New Talents 2023 by Musica Jazz magazine), presents his latest albums at the Blue Note in Milan: “Early 17”, released in March 2022. with the collaboration of Fabrizio Bosso, and “IKI – Bellezza Ispiratrice”, released in January 2024, with the collaboration of Paolo Fresu (inspired by Japanese philosophy, the album keeps the piano as a creative point of support, mixing it with patinas of contemporary sounds, in a constant encounter of comparative styles and genres, and sees the collaboration of artists of the caliber of Paolo Fresu and Cleon Edwards, an American drummer already alongside Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill and Cory Henry).

At Blue Note Francesco Cavestri will appear with an exceptional trio under 30, composed of Riccardo Oliva on bass and Gianluca Pellerito on drums, two of the best instrumentalists of the new Italian generation also at an international level.

The evening will range from the presentation of original songs written by Francesco Cavestri, present in published albums, to reinterpretations of giants such as John Coltrane, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Robert Glasper and Radiohead.
