Carlos Sainz He won the Australian Grand Prix and once again became Red Bull’s great rival. An exciting weekend with another winner other than Max Verstappen. But former driver Felipe Massa says Formula 1 is boring because of “Red Bull dominance”.

The Brazilian, precisely after Australia and when things were tightest on the grid, ensures that Formula E is ‘more interesting’: “Especially when you have a car that has a lot of advantage up front…”

“This is the case with Red Bull and others in the past”says Massa, who denounced the competition by winning the 2008 world title won by Lewis Hamilton with the McLaren.

“It’s really nice to race on street circuits in Formula E. I also think that the competition and the difference between cars is very low there. At each race we see several drivers fighting for victory. The fight for the World Cup is usually very close and is decided at the end, not before. It’s great…,” says Massa.

Even though F1 has seen moments of intense dominance from Verstappen and Hamilton in the past, in 2024 everything seems tighter. The Dutchman leads, of course, but behind him are the Ferraris of Sainz and Charles Leclerc, eager to sit down at the table. But even then, Massa doesn’t seem to be addicted to competition.
